Introduction
Built in 1782, the magnificent Château de Clotte showcases the architectural grandeur of the Louis XV era. This jewel stands at the heart of a unique natural setting, where the deep green hues of pine trees contrast beautifully with the soft green of the vines.
Nestled among clay-limestone slopes and hills, the estate’s 35 hectares of contiguous vineyards lie on some of the most precious terroirs of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. The vines are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec.
The mineral-rich soils give the grapes remarkable depth and complexity. The wooded hills surrounding the château create a natural microclimate, providing both protection and optimal growing conditions that allow the grapes to reach perfect ripeness.
